Miguel Torres

Great event at the Ritz-Carlton in Montreal on August 28 where Miguel Torres Maczassek, CEO of the famous Torres family and member of the fifth generation, hosted a special wine tasting.Over thirty years ago, the Torres family embarked on an exciting project close to its heart: the revival of ancestral varieties that were believed extinct after the devastating phylloxera plague of the late 19th century.

Great event at the offices of Dandurand Wines in Montreal on May 21, 2019 where Miguel Torres Maczassek, CEO of the famous Torres family and member of the fifthgeneration, hosted a special intimate wine tasting of the winery’s latest vintages. 

Very committed to the environment, earlier this year Familia Torres and Jackson Family Wines formed International Wineries for Climate Action, a climate change action group, joining together to create a working group of wineries to help further efforts to decarbonise the wine industry and mitigate the impact of climate change.

Michel Chapoutier

Passionate French winemaker Michel Chapoutier from Maison M. Chapoutier, was in Montreal to present his wines from 2015. Chapoutier’s winery is situated in Tain-l'Hermitage in the Rhône wineregion in France and isknown for producing organic and biodynamic wines. On May 10, 2019 Michel Chapoutier challenged Chef Olivier from restaurant La Chronique to come up with the perfectpairing for his 2015 wines. His philosophy: "Never correct the vintage"

Montreal, July 22 2019

Richard Painter

Creative winemaker Richard Painter from Villa Maria, New Zealand’s most awarded winery, was named 'Winemaker of the Year' at the 2018 Royal Easter Show Wine Awards. He was in Montreal July 22 to present the Left Field brand coming soon to the SAQ. We got a sneak peek of his wines at the SeaSalt & Ceviche Bar in Old Montreal.
